VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

Foster Volunteers - Foster cats in your home until we have room for them at Petsmart or they are adopted.

• There are so many cats out on the streets that need homes. We turn down people each day that call us looking for help with a stray cat in their neighborhood or with a cat they can't keep any longer for whatever reason. It's very difficult to turn them down but if we don't have a place for them to stay - there's nothing else we can do. We are looking for folks that might have an extra bedroom and a little bit of extra time - that's really all you need. Fosters provide food and shelter to the cat(s) until we have room for them to get a cage or until they get adopted out via adoptathons or the website. All vet appointments are paid for by Save Our Strays. If you would like more information on fostering a cat or how you can help out, please email laura927@peoplepc.com.
  

Adoptathon Volunteers - Volunteer 1 day a month to work a weekend adoptathon at Petsmart in Oakley

• We're always looking for people that would be interested in working one Saturday a month at the Petsmart Adoptathons. At first, you would be paired with an experienced volunteer and then slowly you would be able to becoming the experienced volunteer! You will assist customers in finding the right cat for them, answer questions and then fill out paperwork. We have adoptathons every Saturday from 1030am-4pm. Oakley Petsmart - Cage Cleaning Volunteers

• With this position you will go to Petsmart one hour a week on a specific day - while there - you'll sweep and clean up the 10 cages with kitties along with love and pet each lovable kitty!
• Currently we are covered but can always use back up volunteers

Milford Petsmart - Cage Cleaning Volunteers

• With this position you will go to Petsmart one hour a week on a specific day - while there you'll sweep and clean up the 10 cages with kitties along with loving and petting each lovable kitty!
  

Adoption Follow-Up - Call each adopter two weeks after adoption and check in on the animal.

• We are still looking for volunteers for this position!
• We also need volunteers to do our random pre-adoption and follow-up home visits.
