::The Moms of Summers Past::

Every spring and summer, rescues like Save Our Strays are flooded with kittens, often still with their moms. Usually, the kittens find homes just about as soon as they're old enough to leave mom, but it doesn't always go so well for the moms.

These lovely ladies have been rescued, along with their kittens, in the past in the past two years.  Their kittens have long gone to homes of their own but these  moms have somehow gotten overlooked and remain in rescue where they are well cared for but—let’s face it—hanging around the rescue with a whole bunch of other cats is just not the same thing as a home of your own.  They are all 2-3 years old, spayed, vaccinated, fully vetted and ready for a new start in life.
Won’t you give these ladies a look?

Beautiful Petunia

Petunia was rescued from a high kill public shelter in 2007 and shortly afterwards gave birth to four kittens.  She is a great cat, laid back and taking everything in her stride.  She has medium longish black hair. She'd really love to have a real home of her own after all this time in rescue! To meet her, contact Melissa at  231-2273 or toadflax@fuse.net.

Striking Patchwork

Patch is a sweet gentle creature who was dumped at a public shelter with her five kittens (some people are just so mean!) They were taken from the shelter into rescue and fostered by a family with three small children until the kittens were old enough to be adopted. She came back to the rescuer’s home base after that and has been here ever since (that was the autumn of 07—our girl is approximately 3 years old). With her beautiful amber eyes and loving nature, she would be a wonderful pet for anyone. To meet her, contact Melissa at  231-2273 or toadflax@fuse.net.
